According to the Daily Star News website, this incident is from Derbyshire, England. In January 1967, 54-year-old Alfred Swinscoe went to a pub in his area to drink alcohol like any other day. He was with his son Gary. He used to work in a mine. He went to the pub’s toilet but mysteriously disappeared. He was never found after that. Many people believed that the man left his wife and 6 children and went away somewhere.

The secret was revealed after 56 years
Gary died in 2012. Till then he was sure that his father could not have left the family like that. Gary’s nephew and Alfred’s grandson Russell was only 4 years old at that time. Time passed and Russell became 61 years old. He thought that he would never know the truth about his grandfather. But last year, in 2023, Russell came to know something that shocked him. While browsing social media, he suddenly found a photo posted by the police, in which it was told that a dead body was found buried inside a field in a nearby town.
This is how the truth was revealed
When Russell saw the socks on the dead body in the second photo, he was stunned. It was the same sock that his grandfather used to wear and Russell also used to try to wear those socks on his feet. Russell immediately reached that town for DNA testing. When the results came, everything was clear. That dead body was Alfred’s. The postmortem revealed that the dead body had injuries on its face and jaw, which meant that he was attacked before his death in which he was badly injured. His spine was also broken. People believe that at the place where the man was killed and buried, homosexuality was considered a crime in those days. Because of this, many people speculated that Alfred must have seen something, which people killed him to hide. Later, the family buried Alfred’s bones near the grave of his son and daughter. The two people who were suspected of his death had died. Because of this, the killers could not be found.
